With a direct connection to the Internet (not going through the server PC), the remote control provides web browsing from anywhere in the house. The web browsing can be linked to the music in the jukebox, or unrelated to the jukebox.

Clicking on a button opens a new browser window, offering a variety of web searches for the album or artist concerned. We find this facility convenient for reading about the music we're listening to.

(circled) for IE and GoogleIndependent of the music, the remote control allows ordinary web browsing. There are two buttons at the top right of the screen, to make it easy to start browsing.
The Internet Explorer button opens a new window. I've constructed a start page for Internet Explorer that allows the user to choose between the jukebox and a number of favourite Internet sites:
Internet Explorer start pageThe "Mike's Jukebox" link is used only after someone accidentally closes the jukebox remote control window; it opens a new one. Clicking on "bbc.co.uk", or any of the other buttons, takes you to the site concerned.
The "G" button on the main jukebox screen takes you straight to Google, bypassing the favourites page.
